Station of the Week

Artifact of the Week

The railway station at Jerseyside was built in 1888. In 1921 a new wharf and terminal station was built at Argentia, but trains continued to run on a spur line to Placentia Station.

The Blackman Map of Newfoundland shows the original planned railway routes. Only sixty miles were completed before the Blackman Syndicate had to declare bankruptcy.

Presently Closed until further notice.
